  I highly recommend Shoneys. As a place to gather and work. It's not an establishment where you are treated like an outsider. The staff and also most of the customers make you feel loved; make you feel important. Definitely a family atmosphere. You're not judged for how loud your child is, because it's understood that a child is a child and not always well behaved. Great environment for party's in the back room or bigger families in the dining room. There's always a place for you. The food is always fresh and delicious. Staff is always kind and welcoming. Shoneys makes you feel at home.

  I've been coming here with my sister for a couple of days now for lunch. I and her got sick our last time and realized it's food is ass. Number one, the waitresses had a big attitude, I can hear the people behind the bar cussing a lot, the bar looked stale and dry, and the food just tasted bland. The atmosphere is normal, but I sensed a bad smell. No good

  I hadn't been to a Shoney's in a while, so I decided to give it a shot and obviously that was a mistake.
  
  I'm big into clean eating and I've been trying to eat clean when I go out more. The thing that fit my eating habits best on the menu was the salmon. It was also one of the most expensive things on the menus. I ordered the grilled salmon with a side salad and "fresh" vegetables. The salmon was tasteless and funky, the vegetables were a frozen blend and the portion was minuscule, but the salad was the worst. The salad was romaine lettuce that had been washed, but not dried at all. So out came this bowl of watery lettuce with one slice of raw onion and two old cherry tomatoes. I asked for a vinaigrette, but they brought me red vinegar and oil for whatever reason. The salad wasn't edible in my opinion, so I couldn't eat it. I paid about $15 for a tasteless piece of fish and 1/4 of a bag of a frozen vegetable blend that I literally have in my freezer at home lol. My cousin ate from the buffet and the sautéed shrimp was barely peeled, my other cousin ordered the "fresh" fruit as a side dish and it was just canned fruit.
  
  The service from my waiter was ok, but it was slow. I enjoyed the coffee, but that was honestly all. I'm only giving 2 stars rather than 1 because my family members' dishes were decent. If I based the review off of my experience alone, I'd give 1 star.

  Okay every time I go I end up getting sick,  so I stopped going there.  I found out the reason why I have talked with one of the employees from there they say the reason people could be getting sick is that the batter and wash that they dip the chicken in to fry it is left out all day.  From what I know is that the wash is supposed to be changed hourly and new made.  So if you do go avoid the fried chicken

  I've only ate here for dinner once and to be honest I don't remember how I felt about it.  The breakfast on the other hand is mass produced typical breakfast food.  Try to eat it when they bring it out or it will dry out quickly.  If you're a glutton for punishment it's a good place to stuff yourself on French toast and bacon.
